Running a small, locally-owned independent restaurant has always been challenging…more so now post-pandemic. It’s an utter joy getting to do what you love on the daily. It’s no small task that my tiny restaurant is still standing. Since the pandemic, we’ve redoubled on the farm-to-table manifesto through hyperlocal sourcing. We work only with small scale producers + local farms for our proteins, produce + ingredients, not only as a way to to uphold + maintain the integrity of our offerings, but as a way to support + sustain our food community.

The snowstorm last week forced us close for two days in our four day work week. This lost business hits hard when we’re operating at this scale. We humbly ask you to think of us in the days ahead as you make your spending choices. Reserve a seat or a cozy nook for lunch this week or next, preorder fika for takeaway, swing by to say hello + buy a bottle of pretty wine.

MÅURICE is a safe place...a quirky + tiny pastry luncheonette based on life experiences as well as dreams, intended to share all that embodies the sweetness in life. A place lost in time, bridged by my heritage, travels + the inspiration of the season. A place where the smells are warm + inviting…a place that feels like home.
