My Volunteer Trip to Laos

My name is Tarni Stiles. I am an 18 year old university student, studying Psychology in Adelaide.
In January 2016, I am travelling to Laos, with a small group of keen volunteers, with the Volunteer Eco Students Abroad (VESA) Program, to take part in an extremely important sustainable community development and elephant rehabilitation project.
During my stay in Laos, VESA and I will be working in conjucntion with the Elephant Conservation Centre in Sayaboury, where I will apsire to promote the health and wellbeing of these treasured animals. I will also be involved in volunteering at local schools, to help educate children about basic conservation, sustainability and health/hygiene matters. I will also most importantly be assissting in teaching the local children English, which for many can be a means of escaping the cycle of poverty.
By donating, even the smallest amount, you will be helping the children and elepahnts of Loas directly, by assisting myself with the costs involved in participating in the program.
This is a once in a life time oppertunity for myself, and so I appreciate any donation immensly.
