4 Peaks Challenge Fundraiser
Members of Killyon Hurling Club and Killyon Camogie Club are taking on the Four Peaks Challenge, climbing the highest mountain in each of Ireland’s four provinces within just 44 hours.
Over the course of one demanding weekend, participants will summit:
• Carrauntoohil (Munster)
• Mweelrea (Connacht)
• Slieve Donard (Ulster)
• Lugnaquilla (Leinster)
This challenge aims to raise vital funds for the development of our new training facilities, supporting players of all ages in our growing club and community. We also aim to support Meath River Rescue with a much-needed donation from the funds raised during this challenge. Meath River Rescue is a voluntary search and recovery organisation that assists Gardaí and emergency services and provides vital support to families across Meath and surrounding counties.
Participants will begin early Saturday morning as they travel together from Killyon and make their way across Ireland to complete all four climbs before finishing in Westport. Support crews will be on hand throughout the weekend to assist along the route as our team takes on this tough but rewarding challenge.
This is a significant physical and mental test, and everyone involved is volunteering their time and effort to raise as much as possible for these important causes.
Thank you for your support — it truly makes a difference to our players, our club, and our wider community ⛰️
