Cooper's Really Sick And Needs Help
Donazione protetta
I'm Kenny and this is Cooper, he's been in our lives the last (almost) 4 years now and he has been a wonderful dog and family member. We've had him since he was 8 weeks old. He loves chasing squirrels, chipmunks, and birds; but today he is very sick and needs help.
We spoke with a specialist who ran a pathological test on his lymph nodes, did an ultrasound, and took a chest X-ray. The ultrasound and X-ray showed nothing significant to the naked eye, but determined more tests are needed and the pathology won't come back until at least tomorrow. Tests currently indicate that it may be cancer or a tick borne illness. They are keeping him at AERA facility in Fairfield, NJ overnight to keep him on fluids and antibiotics. Since his vision has been affected by Retinal detachment possibly due to cancer or to a tick borne illness that may require surgery later to repair if it even is repairable. At this point we don't know what to think and are hoping for the best.
As more details arrive we will update as best we can. The amount is currently a rough estimate of the costs associated with all treatments and tests. This cost may change in the coming days as more tests and treatments are being considered and conducted.
We want to keep him chasing as many birds, squirrels, and chipmunks as he can for as long as he can. We need as much help as we, he, can get. Cooper is not just a dog, he is a member of the family. He loves to do everything with everybody, he loves life, loves exploring, loves being the best dog a dog can be. I plead to the world to help out in any way you can. He's a dog that shares too much love to be lost to this world. All he has shown us is love and it's only fair we do everything we can to show that we love him just as much. Thank you.
