Kitty Bungalow: Charm School for Wayward Cats have created a team to run in the 2016 Los Angeles Rock N Roll Half Marathon on October 30th, 2016!
The unique Kitty Bungalow is a 501c3 non-profit kitten rescue in Los Angeles. With a 100% placement, over 1000 cats in new homes, 90 weekly volunteers to oversee the Bungalow, this rescue is working to keep feral cats off the streets and out of shelters.
The TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return) process, where entire stray cat colonies are humanely trapped and fixed to fight the stray cat population and feline students, are enrolled to teach social skills so they can be given a better way of life.
The city of Los Angeles needs your help. Cats are euthanized at an alarming rate - in 2014, 414 cats were euthanized because there was "not enough room" at the shelters and almost double the number of cats were euthanized over dogs (cats: 8,018 / dogs: 4664). We are failing cats in large part to not having them fixed.
