1 year old puppy in critical care

Hi, I'm Beemim's owner (Bee for short). Bee is a very social, cuddly, 15-month-old English Staffy, who's as smart as she is stubborn. Her sister was a Lab-Staff rescue named Ostara who was too clever and sweet for this world.

A week ago, Ostara started showing signs of sickness. We took her to the vet right away and despite their best efforts, our little girl passed away. She was only 6 months old.

Beemim had begun showing identical symptoms, so we immediately took her to a referral vet. Due to Ostara's very sudden passing, they are taking her case very seriously and are giving Bee the best care we could hope for.

From what they've gathered, this is likely due to deliberate baiting by another human.

There have been moments in the last few days where we were sure she wasn't going to make it. Luckily she's a stubborn, strong girl and has started showing signs of improvement, though we're not out of the woods yet.

We have hope she'll make a full recovery if she continues under their care, but it's looking more and more like we won't be able to afford her treatment before she's well enough to come home. Almost all our savings have gone into keeping her alive until this point, as well as trying to save her little sister.

The grief is so heavy some days I can't breathe, and the waiting and worrying for Bee's health is absolute torture. This is the worst week of our entire life. They both deserve better than this. We couldn't help Ostara but we're doing everything we possibly can for Beemim. Losing Ostara shattered us, we can't lose Bee too.

Which is why we're here. Any help or support would mean the world. All funds will go into Beemim's vet bills and hopeful recovery.
