We watch the news and images from Houston, feeling helpless and wanting to give back.
For Jera and Brent Lance from Stanfield, NC, they knew they had to act. They asked on Facebook who could help them fill a truck of supplies to take to Houston. Jera told her employers at Fairway Independent Mortgage who decided to help.
It began as an idea that is quickly spreading throughout Charlotte. And we want you to help. Together with a growing list of business partners, we are going to drive multiple semi-trucks across the country to help.
Join us on Friday, September 8th at SouthPark Mall as we fill up as many trucks as we can to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey and show Houston they are not alone. Charlotte is sending some love.
Your donation will be used to purchase fuel used for the trips to and from Houston. Each truck will require $1000 in gas to make the trip and back.
Brent Lance will withdrawl the funds upon his departure for Houston on Friday, September 15th to use towards fuel for the journey of the trucks to Houston and back.
