Hello from the Hillgrove High School GIRLS Basketball Program!
Our GIRLS basketball program is dedicated to girls in 6th-12th grade that live within the Hillgrove HS district. We are reaching out this year to our amazing community because your support is a critical part of helping us fulfill our mission to help these young athletes develop strong character, self-confidence, and receive quality instruction, and skill development to prepare each player for the next level.
Our goal this year is to raise $10,000. These funds will go towards strengthening our program, including tournament play, funding referees & custodial services, enhanced game film, team gear/updated uniforms, Senior Night, team building events, transportation, gym equipment, etc. Two items we are particularly excited about include a newly purchased shooting machine called "The Gun" . . . and, our Varsity team will be travelling to Cherokee, NC for a tournament!
But your donation is so much more than just tangible items, it’s about investing in our student athletes . . .
· Team Play teaches that one is strong, but together everyone is stronger.
· Athletes learn positive character traits – commitment, patience, persistence, respect.
· Basketball helps motivate & recharge students – body, mind, & spirit.
· Athletes master the art of mental toughness, leading to success - both on the court and in the classroom.
· Leaders are identified, and their leadership skills are sharpened.
· And of course, basketball provides an outlet for FUN!
