Bridgeport Animal Shelter Expansion

My name is Jennifer Lynne and I am on a mission to raise $40,000 for Bridgeport's Animal Control Center.
I own and operate a business in downtown Bridgeport. 90% of the people I work with are Bridgeport Police officers and their families and I am part of a Police family myself.
The Bridgeport Animal Shelter is managed by the Bridgeport Police Department. The shelter was currently approved for an expansion project that will dramatically improve the life experience of the animals.
As seen in the Connecticut Post Article the project will provide services to make the animals more likely to be part of successful adoption. The most expensive part of the project is building new dog runs and play areas so the dogs that are there dont spend all day in a cage.
DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE SHELTER IS RUN BY THE CITY, THE SHELTER ITSELF CANNOT SET UP A GOFUNDME.
Antinozzi Architects, another downtown Bridgeport Business, generously donated their services to draw up the plans that allowed for approval. Now we need to find the money.
The budget for the expansion is $40,000. GoFundMe and WePay will take 7.9% of donations plus $.30 per donation. 100% of all monies raised minus the fees of Go Fund Me will be donated to the Bridgeport Animal Shelter.
Time is of the essence. Right now, the shelter has support to move forward. We have a chance to make a true difference but we need to move fast.
While there will always be too many animals without homes, there is an opportunity here to improve the life quality of the animals at the shelter facing anxiety and depression. Let's do what we can to help these animals be better situated for a healthy, happy adoption and forever home.
