The brutal winter of 2025/26 forced Us to leave our only home (1986Ford Econoline motorhome) to seek a warmer shelter.During Christmas our money was so tight we really couldn't afford to make regular visits to prevent the unfair result of having all that we owned in this world snatched away by unnessary actions from an organization directed by the same Canadian government that forks out financial asistance to prevent us from ending up in this unfortunate sercumstance. After alerting the water loo regional police (that took weeks of phone calling towing companies and non corresponding MTO offices ,opp ,city police) tha our home was stolen from the car pool at fountain street@ the 401. A police investigation discovered by calling a non public MTO contact number that our home was towed all the way to puslinch ontario .The news was so relieving until we got informed that the bill was upwards of $5000 to recover all that we possessed just before the new years 2026 celebrating now the worst year of our lives .A fter 6 Depressing and mentally challenging months of worrying how we are going to survive this emotional disaster we got the dredded call telling us to give them what we can just get it of his lot . unbelievable .!!! We were told months earlier that I we don't come up with $3000 at least they will be sending it back to the auction yard or even worse the scrap yard for a possible $1500 recovery of fees for the greedy conglomerate throat cutters of the yank and spank industry. On Saterday August first we privately towed our home to the OTHER car pool in the Kitchener Cambridge 401 townline road location .As we pulled entered the lot we observed 25 to 30 campers , trailers and motor homes resting in the hot summer sun all with 8x11 sheet of copyier paper with all this lettering on it stating the rules of the Ontario car pool camping lots.while being protected by a thin clear film the notice meant shit to me because I was t planning to be there long enough to have anyone complain of my presents in the FREE federal parking provided by The discretion of the MTO. After parking 3 nights in CONCESSION in the ontario rest stop we returned just to find that friggin CARPOOL COWBOYS Stole our Ride /life away from us at the GREEDY mind blowing Kick in the crotch rate to the sum of just under. The total of my monthly income from Ontarior works .I think this is similar to how people feel before they intentionally stop Breathing permanently.!! SAD!
Campaign Title: Help Kevin, and Marty Secure Their Home for WinterMy StoryMy name is Kevin Moss, and I am reaching out to my community in Cambridge and across Canada for urgent help to save my home—a 1986 Ford Econoline 27-foot motorhome. This vehicle is more than just a motorhome; it is the primary residence for myself, my partner , and our loyal dog Marty. After surviving a harsh 2025/2026 winter away from our vehicle, we have spent months fighting an exhausting cycle of predatory "towing blitzes" and mounting impound fees. In August 2026, our home was targeted by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Abrams Towing at a local carpool lot. This displacement resulted in thousands of dollars in compounding fees and, most tragically, .The Financial CrisisRecovering our property has become an impossible burden while surviving on a fixed Ontario Works budget. We have already spent $2,30 on previous recovery efforts, only to be hit with a new impound bill that is climbing toward $1,000 as daily storage fees accumulate. In Ontario, outdoor storage for large vehicles can reach up to $240 per day.Without immediate funds, we cannot pay these recovery fees, and we risk losing everything to corporate salvage operations that profit from clearing mobile shelters like ours. How Your Donations HelpWe are raising money to "legalize" our home and prepare it for the upcoming winter to prevent us from being forced onto the streets. Your donations will go directly toward:Property Recovery: Paying off thousands in accumulated towing and impound fees to get our motorhome and personal belongings back.Mandatory Insurance & Registration: For older Class C motorhomes, insurance in Ontario typically ranges from $800 to $2,000 annually. We need to secure this and a $120 registration to move our home legally.Winterization Materials: We must protect our shelter from freezing. This includes RV skirting to block wind and snow, a 12V diesel air heater for consistent warmth (approx. $120–$230), and winterization pump kits (approx. $40–$50) to prevent burst pipes.Safe Parking: Securing a deposit for a private lot where we can stay legally and safely through the winter. Seasonal standard sites in the region can cost upwards of $4,500, with winter storage fees around $330.Why This MattersWe are proud Canadians trying to get a break and return to a normal living arrangement. Every dollar raised brings us closer to also helping other people&families in similar sircumstanses.

No signs directing the vehicle owner to pay the bill Can an officer of the law ticket the same ofender for t he same offence same offense on rhe same day1 .. m

After being evicted from our apartment of Ten years there was no place to go that we could afford right off the bat.Couldnt keep all our posessions and lost thousands of dollars to a greedy landlord. We were fortunate enough to have a good friend let us rent to own our motor home. But we couldnt at the time afford the insurance or even fule to keep us warm during the winter of 2025/26. We finally had a temporary place to park and live just so we could get caught up on life .BUT WHO REALLY WANTS TO LIVE IN A CARPOOL PARKING LOT.????To make things worse we had to leave our new home on wheels because the cold winter was TOO EXPENSIVE .!Just after the worse Christmas of my 55years on this planet. We were told from a friend that was driving by "the pool on fountain st" that our rigg was GONE !After having a police investigation we were informed thAt we could get all ouf belongings that were in the 86 ford econoline Royal motor home back by going way out to a impound yard 25 minutes down the 401 but we had a bill toPay before we could drive it away out of captivity the bill ended up after 4 months in the crap weather to be an arm & A dick(3500$) after all the winter STRESS & Depressing reality of the loss of all our hopes & Optimistic goals we got the call to get the rigg out and off the tow yard owners land. The man did what any empathetic human would do and let us off the hook for a total of $4500 .(No pun intended) We dragged the big beast to a location after 6 months of mental madness to the car pool know to be a acceptable temperary resting ground.after pulling in we found that all the RV s in this towns line parking pool had been tagged to be towed.Knowing the rules of the MTO My65 year young wife and i were confident that we wouldn't have any issues with the INCONSECUTIVE 120HR ** (KEY WORD)** BEING INCONSECUTIVE HOURS for the reason of STUPID thinking on my part that "they wouldn't tow us again would they?Shure enough we returned after four nights of hunting for a lot to lease for the beast and much to our surprise the went and Got us again .This time after three days of impoundment The bill was just as STUPID as the first unnecessary act of greed from the MTO! Just shy of $650 and my monthly income is only $733 Just cant win unless we get some people with money on our team . Please donate anything you can. Thanks
