Hello, my name is Karen and my husband, Murdoch, has been diagnosed with terminal liver cancer at the young age of 43. This all started 10 days ago when Murdoch had been dealing with back pain and after going to the emergency room he was ordered a CAT scan, which showed multiple tumors in his liver. One large tumor along with 50 other tumors. They performed a biopsy which showed a nueroendocrine cell type. This is an extremely rare and difficult cancer to treat. At best it can be held at bay if caught in the early stages, however, unfortunately, Murdoch is not in the early stages. Murdoch and I have been really lucky to have had 11 wonderful years together. We enjoy each others company whether it’s traveling, playing cards, or watching murder shows. Murdoch is a loving, nurturing, generous human being. He has been my protecter, my partner and my best friend. Hearing, the diagnosis of cancer has devastated me and his entire family. The timing of a new employment and causing the lapse in insurance has made this situation even more frightening and frustrating. It makes the path to any kind of hope seem impossible. I know times are tough for a lot of us right now, and I truly appreciate anything that you guys can donate to help with some of the cost of Murdoch’s treatment and medical expenses.
