It’s hard to find the right words when someone you love is facing something so difficult. Our dear friend, Jenn Coleman, has had an incredibly challenging year. While dealing with a separate medical issue, she suddenly and unexpectedly found herself facing a devastating diagnosis: Grade 3, HER2-positive invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer). This is an aggressive form of breast cancer where the cancer cells can multiply and spread quickly, and Jenn’s life has changed in an instant. Jenn has already undergone two surgeries, including a lymph node biopsy to determine whether the cancer has spread. She now faces a long and difficult road ahead, including at least a year of chemotherapy and radiation, additional surgeries, and many appointments and treatments. Jenn is a loving mom of four beautiful children, with one still living at home. Her family and loved ones mean the world to her, and right now, she needs to be able to focus her energy on healing and getting through the difficult months ahead. Unfortunately, the financial stress has become another heavy burden. Because of the extensive medical leave she needs, Jenn was recently let go from her job. She is currently unable to work and doesn't know when she will be healthy enough to return. While she focuses on her treatment and recovery, the everyday expenses of life continue, along with the additional costs that come with a cancer diagnosis. Jenn has always been a woman of strong faith, and she is leaning on God now more than ever. Even in the middle of fear and uncertainty, she is choosing to hold onto her faith and trust that she is not walking through this alone. We are praying for healing, strength, peace, and a miracle as she begins this difficult journey. But faith doesn't mean she has to carry this burden by herself. We are asking our friends, family, community, and anyone who feels led to help surround Jenn with love and support during this incredibly difficult time.
