Our beloved and mischievous pet Cricket is currently facing a medical emergency, and I am doing everything I can to make sure he gets the care he needs. Right now, Cricket has been at the vet almost a week, and the prognosis is uncertain. He had to have urgent exploratory surgery on Friday, July 17th, and now we’re waiting on biopsy results. The vet is hopeful that the masses found can be treated with steroids, but we just don’t know yet. It’s been an incredibly stressful and emotional time for Carli and me, not knowing what the future holds for him. Cricket means the world to us, and we want to give him every chance to recover and live a happy, healthy life.
The costs for Cricket’s treatment are quickly adding up, including vet bills and ongoing medications. We’re also preparing for the possibility of future care, depending on how his condition develops. Cricket found us by sidling up to Carli at a garbage bin at an apartment we were staying in while on a travel nursing contract in Jackson, MS. He is quite the troublemaker but can also be so very sweet and loves to bathe people and other cats constantly. He is only about five years old, so we hope he has many mischievous years left.
Any support for Cricket’s care would mean the world to us. Thank you for considering a donation and sharing our story. Your kindness and generosity can make a real difference in Cricket’s journey toward healing.
