Diana and her children, Sophia and Gerónimo, are facing an incredibly difficult time after the loss of their beloved husband and father, Jorge Naranjo. Jorge bravely battled cancer for nearly two years while remaining a devoted husband and father who worked tirelessly to care for his family. His passing has left an immeasurable void in their lives.<br /><br />During this difficult transition, Diana is navigating the emotional and practical challenges of caring for Sophia and Gerónimo while adjusting to this sudden change in their lives. As the family takes time to grieve and heal together, many day-to-day needs and unexpected expenses continue.
<br /><br />We are reaching out to friends, family, and the community to help surround Diana, Sophia, and Gerónimo with support, compassion, and stability during this heartbreaking time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease immediate household and family-related expenses and allow them the time and space to focus on healing and supporting one another.

Help Shruti’s Family Through This Difficult Time

As we all know, the world has recently been changed and has been faced with the challenges of COVID-19. This has caused our OTF Hackensack staff to lose their jobs. Our coaches and staff are the reason we have created this Hackensack family and have given us their all each and every day. During this unfortunate time, it would be nice if we as a community can come together and show them our appreciation for all they have done for us. At 4am this morning her mom woke her up with a phone call, her father, Igor, was coughing up blood. <br /><br />Her parents had gone to Mexico to finally destress from life, and a week into thier vacation her father, a man who emmigrated from Ukraine for a better life, a life-long athlete, a devoted father and loving husband, had a heart attack. The doctors were able to tell Arina that he may need open heart surgery within 1 or two weeks. She dropped everything, called off of work, and jumped on the first flight there.<br /><br />At the hospital, finally face-to-face with the doctors, they told her the news:<br />Her father's heart-attack was worse than they originally thought. He needs an immediate heart transplant. Without it he has 2 days to live.<br /><br />He's on life-support in a foreigh hospital, surrounded by people he doesn't know, where the level of care is very different than that of the US. The doctors refuse to operate unless she can come up with $150,000 in 2 days time. If not, her father will not survive.<br /><br />We understand that this is a HUGE ask, but please put yourself in her shoes, being told that a parent who means the world to you will die in 2 days time, we are begging you if there's anything you can give, $1, $10, $100, please consider donating. And if you can't afford to donate, please share this post. <br /><br />The more people we can get this to, the better chance we have of saving his life.
