For more than twenty-five years, I have had the privilege of serving our Maui community through the Temple of Peace Healing Sanctuary. My life's work has been devoted to helping others on their journeys toward healing, hope, and wholeness. Whether through ministry, education, functional wellness, or simply being present for someone in need, I have always believed that when one person heals, our entire community becomes stronger. 
 
 
 Today, for the first time, I find myself in the unexpected position of asking for help. I have recently suffered a confirmed stroke. While I am deeply grateful to be alive, the journey ahead includes ongoing medical evaluations, rehabilitation, therapy, and the time necessary for my brain and body to recover. Although I remain optimistic, this experience has reminded me that even those who dedicate their lives to serving others sometimes need to receive the kindness and support of their community. My goal is to focus wholeheartedly on healing so that I can return to serving others with renewed strength and wisdom. 
 
 
 During this recovery period, your support will help ease the financial burden of medical expenses, rehabilitation, travel for specialized care when needed, and the day-to-day costs of maintaining both my personal wellbeing and the Temple of Peace Healing Sanctuary while I recover. As many of you know, I have long believed that healing is not simply the absence of illness—it is the restoration of body, mind, heart, and spirit. I approach this chapter with that same faith. I am committed to doing everything within my power to recover through excellent medical care, rehabilitation, healthy living, prayer, and the support of the many healing practices that have been part of my life's work.

Hi Everyone, It is with a broken heart that I share with you that I have Stage 4 Metastatic Cancer that has spread to my lungs and bones.  I am in complete shock about my circumstance and am navigating a prognosis that will ultimately put a time limit on my life.   I am choosing to be an anomaly and do not see this disease taking me down.  I have way too much work left to do in this world and decades to do it, but in order for me to survive this I am taking a multi-dimensional approach.  In addition to conventional medicine I will be and already have started to work with holistic practitioners, therapists, nutritionists, acupuncturists, etc to come at this with everything I possibly have.  To love and nurture my physical, mental, spiritual and emotional bodies throughout this delicate healing process is my goal so that the healing can fully stick this time.  This healing has already turned into a full time job and I unfortunately will not be able to work throughout my treatments.  I am asking for your help because I really need it.  My last experience with breast cancer left me bankrupt and I have just started to recover financially from that and now this is happening.   I am devastated, heartbroken, and scared.  I am also full of life, hope and love for all that is happening to me and love for all of those in my communities.  At this time I am unsure of where I will be treated as I will spend the next couple of weeks getting a lung biopsy and a second opinion.  I will be traveling between San Francisco and Los Angeles for these opinions and will need to pay all alternative therapies, second opinions and even portions of my treatment which insurance does not cover out of pocket which is making this all incredibly expensive.   I am opening my heart to my communities and this world and will share my journey as I navigate these very difficult waters so that I may help others do the same.    I am at a loss at this time for much else to say besides how absolutely and incredibly grateful I am for your support.  If a monetary donation is not easy for you, a prayer is all I need.  I appreciate you all in advance and will keep you updated as my story continues to unfold. Those of us that know &amp; love her are trying to find any way to support her healing and recovery. Because of the brutality of this attack, she wishes to withhold her full name from the public. However, I hope to convey how special she is and how this event has impacted her.

<div>She is the brightest and shiniest person I know. Small in stature but big in personality, she is kind, compassionate, loves and accepts others, and is also a fierce little pocket full of dynamite. In short, she is a beautiful woman with a bright future and was set to start nursing school in the fall. However, in the early hours of Sunday, July 31, 2022, she was viciously attacked while walking her two beloved dogs in the neighborhood. Her attacker tackled her from behind and unleashed a brutal physical and sexual assault. Despite efforts to fight off her attacker, she was beaten severely and suffered significant injuries. Her injuries included but were not limited to: multiple facial fractures (nose, eyesocket, upper and lower jaw), extensive bruising and swelling, cuts and scrapes all over her body, and many teeth knocked out. To those who know her, she is physically unrecognizable. She will need months to heal from the physical aspects of this attack and will require extensive dental reconstruction. Beyond her physical healing, she will likely need much longer to recover from the emotional wounds. She is currently unable to work due to her injuries and will need assistance to support herself while she focuses on healing and possibly relocating.

Help Her Heal

This is a fundraiser for my dear friends in Bali who have been devastated by the pandemic. The country has been closed to visitors for 1 1/2 years now and since Bali’s entire economy is tourist-based the situation is dire… not even enough money for rice. I recently heard from one of my friends there who reported that not only has her business evaporated but both her sons have needed medical attention. They had a motorbike accident that requires immediate medical attention and she doesn’t have the money to pay for it. She is begging me for help and I decided to reach out to my people to hopefully unite and help them out.

I realize many on the planet have been brought to their knees by the pandemic. These 2 families are near to my heart so I feel the urgent need to help them in any way I can. CHRIS' HOME REPAIR FUND While bravely fighting colon cancer for 5 years before passing, Chris Goethe continued to use any energy he had to show up, almost daily, to his millwork job to support his family. Upon arriving home, he needed to rest and sleep, especially after all of his chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Therefore, no time remained to keep up with house repairs. He chose to try to live as normally as his family was used to living. Chris never complained of his pain and lived each day as if it could be his last, happy to be with family, friends, and co-workers. 5 years of unavoidable house and yard neglect has added up to sizable and overwhelming expense and work. Chris' last concern was leaving his house in disrepair for his wife and two daughters to maintain, which has become a burden and a struggle. Much money is needed to purchase building materials and hire skilled labor for repairs, including, but not limited to, a new roof for their modest home. 100% of all the donated monies will go directly to Chris' wife and two daughter's solely for purchasing materials, labor and services for home repair and yard. Chris was an active alumni member of his Northport High School Class of 1973. One of his last desires was to attend his 40th reunion on July 13, 2013. He even purchased his ticket back in February of 2013-hoping and willing himself to attend. On April 22, 2013, he apologized for needing to withdraw his name from the attendee list, because that was his first day of hospice. Three weeks later, Chris passed and his classmates all honored him with loving and affectionate remembrances at their 40th year reunion. Chris was a true gentleman: kind spirited, laughed with a calm sense of humor, easily solved problems, avoided unnecessary conflict. and truly loved life. Christopher worked for Petersen Geller Spurge Millwork, Inc., Architectural Woodworking Co. as a fine woodworker.
For the past 26 years, Chris and his family have made West Stockbridge their home. 
An active outdoorsman, he enjoyed mountain climbing, rock climbing and ice climbing. At age 19, he climbed Mt. McKinley in Alaska.
Along with his mother, Leona of Napanoch, N.Y., Christopher is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sharon Louise Hunt Goethe. The couple was married April 21, 1979, in Lander, WY. He is also survived by his daughters, Heather Lea Goethe of West Stockbridge, and Sarah Marie Goethe-Jones of Stockbridge.
