Bike Loud! 2026

<div>Hello, my name is Brandi Hunter and I am setting up this Gofundme on behalf of a great friend and all around wonderful human being Tasha Harrington. Unfortunately on Thursday April 25th, Tasha and family of 3 loss their home to a late night house fire. Thankfully Tasha and her family escaped their burning home unharmed (But God). Unfortunately she is unable to salvage many things, but she is grateful for the things she was able to, and in good positive spirits. Right now she and her family are staying in a hotel, thanks to the wonderful Red Cross Foundation. However, those funds will run out quickly. Tasha had insurance and we know how insurance companies work, it's a process and they don't replace everything. They will face quite a few hardships moving forward (time off work, salvaging, moving, finding a home etc) and I would like for her not to have to bare the full burden of it all. I know that many are facing trying times, its beyond understandable. If you can not give monetarily, she will still need items once she has settled in a new place and I know she will be grateful for any and everything donated. Those donations will be set up for another time. If you can find it in your hearts to give ANY amount, it would be appreciated tremendously. If you know Tasha, you would know that she will give the shirt off of her back and that there is no amount too small. She will appreciate it all. The funds will be used for added hotel expenses, meals, clothing, moving expenses and whatever basic needs they may have.
</div>
<div>If you belong to a church, please keep her in your prayers and I ask that you put her and her family on your Church's prayer list, as she stands strong in her Faith. She and her family can use all the support we can give, and prayers cost absolutely nothing . Thank you for your time.

<div>Blessings To You All !

Tasha Harrington And Family Need Our Help

<div>Hey all you Linda's Lovers! My Name is Chris Carini, you may know me as the owner of Linda's "Linda" or "Chef". Long story short, the covid epidemic put a hurt on the whole hospitality industry and we've survived by the brawn of our backs, the strength of our community, and most of all because you love Linda's so much. So do we, so do I!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> In order to keep our people paid, the lights on, machines fixed, and the building up to code, etc. we need a bit of help. It feels like a burden worthy of asking my community for help with so we may continue into the future.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> With a town full of aging buildings and the post-pandemic economic conditions, we small business owners are juggling the responsibility of infrastructure costs for our buildings in a time when our community is clearly struggling. Additionally, I'm also dealing with the news of a terminally ill parent who I will be needing to spend time with in the next months. None of this is timely I know, but when is it ever?
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Since the pandemic, we have had to pivot several times to try and keep up with the changing needs of our guests;
</div>
<div>We are currently working on getting open for breakfast! Starting next week!
</div>
<div>Updating a lot of Linda's Infrastructure (Yes, finally getting ApplePay).
</div>
<div>An additional trivia night...
</div>
<div>And lots more!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Long and the short of it, I'm asking for help from all the people far and wide who love Linda's to help me keep it around for another 47 years. It's hard to ask, but I thought I would before I didn't get the chance. Thank you for reading and doing what you can to preserve this town landmark.

</div>
<div>Hello Everyone,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you’ve walked down Franklin Street you’ve probably walked past the Mediterranean Deli, Bakery, and Catering (aka “Med Deli”). It’s been a staple of our community since 1991. when the restaurant first opened. Jamil Kadoura created a restaurant that not only delivers amazing, fresh food for the community, but also forged the deli into a community staple by encouraging acceptance and compassion. An example of this compassion is the misting fans that blow onto Franklin Street on hot days.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>On Saturday, July 22nd, the Mediterranean Deli caught fire. As of 5:06PM, there have been at least 5 different local fire departments on scene attempting to control the blaze. Witnesses who were near the deli have described a heart-breaking scene. The consensus is that Med Deli is a total loss.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It’s hard to accept what’s happened to such an institution in the Chapel Hill community, so this campaign is being established to provide support for the employees of Med Deli. Dozens of our local community members were employed by Med Deli and will need our support to get through this challenging time. 100% of funds raised will go to these employees.

<div>We are fundraising on behalf of a community member who needs immediate help repairing her home. She is an undocumented member of our community and a single mom that just wants a safe home for her family. The home has holes in the walls and major mold issues. The kitchen is on the verge of collapse. Her status as an undocumented member of our community has caused major delays in finding support for home repairs. Please help us raise a small amount of money that can create a big difference. We have a volunteer repair crew ready to fix her home as soon as supplies can be purchased.

Single mom needs home repair ASAP

I am a coworker of Robert and was working the night he went out for his last delivery just 13 mins before closing time. As I was closing up the store Chapel Hill Police showed up needing personal information because" Rob" was in such condition he was unable to provide  them with anything other than his first name. While on his delivery he pulled into the customers driveway and when he got out of his vehicle he was shot and his car was stolen. He has already went through multiple surgeries and may be paralyzed from the waist down. It is my hope we can go above and beyond this goal as he may never be able to walk or work again.  He may need a replacement car. His household bills will need to be paid while he is unable to work, and he has a long road of recovery ahead of him. This was a senseless, unexpected, unbelievable tragedy right here in our college town weeks after his bday and weeks before Christmas. Let's come together as a community as show our support for a Individual that was just trying to do his job!! All of us here at work are extremely shocked and emotional that a part of our team endured such an act of violence and we all agreed we need to do something for him. All monies will accumulate until Rob is able to receive or until it can be released to his parents on behalf of him in the event he is unable.  Thank You All!! I have just been informed our company will be taking care of his medical bills as well!!
