I am asking from my heart for help for my friend Nick’s little dog, Sparky. Several hours ago, Sparky was attacked by two much larger dogs at a dog park in Silver Lake. Since then, his condition has been getting worse, and he needs urgent veterinary care as soon as possible.

 Nick does not have the financial means to cover Sparky’s emergency veterinary expenses right now. This fundraiser is to help get Sparky the care he needs as quickly as possible, while time still matters.

<div>Our beloved friend, Daniel Castillo, was apprehended by ICE the day before Thanksgiving, and has been in detention ever since. Daniel is the lead singer of the Susie Hansen Latin Band and a well known performer in the LA area.

Urgent! Help Daniel Castillo, his family, his legal defense

It is with the greatest of sadness that I deliver to you today the heartbreaking news of the death of our<br />friend Michael Tejada a/k/a Mikey.  I’ve been informed that Mikey passed away this morning of Cardiac Arrest. <br />Mikey is the beloved brother of Chris and Eric Tejada both long time Quality Assurance Team members.<br />He was also part of the CITImed family for several years and we all enjoyed his company. <br />What has happened is beyond comprehension and we are all still in shock. <br />Our most heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the Tejada family.<br />Understandably the Tejada family is struggling to cope while funeral plans are still being arranged. <br />We have started a funeral fundraising campaign that can help make this difficult time more <br />about celebrating Mikey’s life and less about funeral cost worries.<br />Please donate, anything can help. <br />We will keep you posted with funeral arrangements. <br />You can also leave messages and comments for Chris and Eric to read.<br />Thank you all in advance for your kind hearts during this very sad time.

MIKEY'S FUNERAL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN

Our names are Tim &amp; Tracy Orteg and we are raising funds for our son, Barrett Orteg who contracted the Leishmaniasis Braziliensis parasite while on vacation in Peru in December of last year. The money will be spent on his medical bills for the hospital (s),  the doctors and specialists that are or will be on his case. as well as any medications that have or will be administered  in the future as his health insurance and supplimental insurance is not covering a large portion of the costs. <br /><br />There is no test that can determine that the meds have worked 100% and that he is free and clear from the disease. Unfortunately, this may be a problem for him for many years to come as the disease can go dormant and re-appear many years later.<br /><br /><img class="not-resizable" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/20094294_1493760899.7175_funddescription.jpg" alt="" width="100%" /><br />This disease is classified as a "NTD" Neglected Tropical Disease that is transmitted by a sand flea. The lesion on his arm appeared in late January and it has literally taken months to get the right diagnosis and treatment.  The treatment is pretty toxic as it can shut down your kidneys; some days he is unable to take the IV medication due to his kidneys starting to fail. <br /><br />Leishmaniasis is a parasitic infection that effects the skin, mucous membranes and organs. The type that Barrett has is very rare and can be extremely destructive. It is important to note that while this is not a common occurrence in the U.S. it is in 90+ other countries. Some of our servicemen have contracted the parasite overseas and if left untreated it can even cause death. <br /><br />If you can donate any amount will help. and is very much appreciated.
