The Sheboygan County Sheriff's Office K9 unit is funded through donations received from community partners. We are currently seeking to raise funds to add a second K9 to our team.

A little over 2 years ago the Sheriff gave the go ahead to restart our K9 program. Since that time K9 Mika has proven to be an invaluable part of our team. K9 Mika has been called upon hundreds of times for her expertise in drug detection and tracking. K9 Mika has undoubtedly saved many lives by taking some of the worst narcotics off of our streets.

Because of K9 Mika's hard work and success, the Sheriff has now given the go ahead to add a second K9 to our team. The intent is to acquire a second dual purpose K9 that can detect illegal drugs and track individuals.

We currently have enough funding to purchase a second K9 and send a handler to training. Since this venture has happened so quickly, what we don't have is the funding for a second K9 patrol vehicle. Typically when a new K9 is acquired, so is a new squad car and it usually lasts the life of the K9.

We have enjoyed community support in many different areas throughout the years and we are once again asking for your support. We would like to raise enough money to purchase and outfit a second K9 squad.

We believe that adding a second K9 will greatly increase our ability to detect and remove illegal and deadly drugs from our communities. We are dedicated to eradicating the influx of these deadly drugs and with your support we can move closer to that goal.

With your support we believe that we could have a second K9 patrolling the county within a matter of months.

We would also like to say thank you to all of the businesses and individuals who initially donated to our program and made the addition of K9 Mika possible.
