Sally was a truly wonderful and loving person; a great woman, mother, daughter, sister, friend, teacher, scientist, colleague, wife - and of course the perfect Maid Marian.

Whilst I, her family and friends are all devastated at her loss we are incredibly comforted by the overwhelming love, support and friendship we have been recieving, knowing how much Sal was loved and what a great and positive difference she made in the lives of so many people really helps.

We're also hugely grateful to the brilliant and caring organisations who helped Sal in her last months with care, equipment and treatment and so rather than have flowers at her funeral we are asking people to contribute to a fund to give something back to them.

Any funds raised will be donated in Sally's name to:

Macmillan Cancer Support, the Red Cross, Nottingham City Hospital's Hayward House Specialist Palliative Care Unit, Nottingham and Treetops Hospices and Maggie's Nottingham.

I will love and miss Sal forever, as will we all - and thank you all again for your love, friendship and support, it really is very much appreciated.
