Packs with Purpose is a new local non-profit with a heart for Foster Kids. Founded by Foster Parents who have seen the need these children have first hand.
Our first purpose is to get backpacks in the hands of these children upon removal instead of a trash bag. Hefty should never be a suitcase for our children.
Second we provide the personal needs for the first 24-48 hours of placement. A change of clothes, pajamas, socks, underwear, diapers etc. a comfort item (teddy bear, blanket, etc.) and hygiene items (tooth brush, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash).
When these needs are met, placement can go smoother and the foster parents can spend the most crucial bonding hours with the child instead of midnight trips to Wal-mart.
We are also partnering with churches and local businesses, organizations, and individuals to fill these bags as well.
