Miss Thompson's Funeral Fund

Donation protected

Miss. Sandra Thompson began her teaching career at Bath Schools in 1968. Even though she officially retired in the late 90's, she continued to teach until she was no longer able to speak. Miss. Thompson had a love for her students like no other.

In April of 2018, I took her to the emergency room, where she was diagnosed with a blood clot. However, late last month, it was determined to be a massive tumor that was causing the blood clot.

Since falling ill, people from all over the country have shared their personal stories of how Miss. Thompson touched their lives. Many were students, others were not. But that didn't matter, Miss. Thompson found a way to touch everyone, from church camps to family events to even giving money when needed. The love Miss. Thompson had for others did not stop at the school doors.

Unfortunately, the recently diagnosed cancer is too much for her body to bear and she is currently on life support. Having never married, Miss. Thompson has no living family and no plans for her final expenses, which is why we are reaching out to the community that she loved so dearly in hopes we can raise enough money to honor this wonderful woman in burial.

As we are just now accepting the end of her life, funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

As Miss. Thompson prepares the final journey home, we will mourn with you, as we all lose this wonderful lady we call teacher,
