Janele's Thailand Trip

Hi!
My name is Janele. I have been accepted into a two-week program for young adults with an interest in veterinary medicine that will allow me to work hands on with a team of veterinary experts...in Thailand! (Find information about the program and Loop Abroad here)
The program includes one week working with elephants and one week working with shelter dogs. Skills such as examinations, restraint, administering IV/injections, assisting in surgery, and daily care will be covered.
Not only would this be an amazing opportunity to prepare for my dream job (and look good on a resume), it would be a once in a lifetime chance to experience a different culture and work with some of the most magnificent animals on our planet.
All the time put in is volunteer work. Not only would I be helping animals be healthy and happy, but I would be learning essential career skills. I would also be learning about leadership, team work, and helping others. I would also be able to learn about the amazing culture of Thailand and embrace a diverse group of people.
I am a full-time employee and student in my second semester, on my way to getting my Associates of Science and a Vet tech certification.

Budget Breakdown:
$3,350 tuition: includes all courses, housing, meals, activities, and transportation in Thailand, as well as donations to the Elephant park and ARK dog shelter
$1,695: round-trip ticket
$1, 350 tuition: Marine Bonus Week! : An additional week at the end of the program where a group travels to the island of Koh Tao to work with marine experts taking care of sea turtles and the reef!
$200: Passport
$500 + : To pay for any additional costs, such as travel insurance, required supplies, spending money, medical supplies/expenses, meals/snacks not provided, etc. (Any extra money will be donated to the ARK dog shelter or Elephant Nature Park)
*All payments must be made by May in order for me to go on the trip in June*

While I intend to save away any free money I have and do some fundraisers, I cannot do this alone! Any and all donations, or simply sharing this story, would be greatly appreciated. This trip would be a dream come true for me.
(If, for some reason, I am not able to go on the trip, any donations will either be refunded or donated to the Elephant Nature park or ARK dog shelter)
