Gandhi said, “If we are to reach real peace in this world, we shall have to begin with the children.” Yet, today’s children face a world filled with violence! It is easy to forget that this world is just as filled with peace. The new children’s books, “The Barnyard Buddies STOP for Peace,” and “I Can See Peace” show children how peace is possible.
Through these innovative children's books and children’s music , anger management, peaceful conflict resolution, and even imagining peace come alive for ages 3 to 9. This campaign is to raise funds to produce and market these critical books and music so teachers, parents, and grandparents can have these tools!
There is nothing more important than making sure all children feel cared about, needed, and valued so they don’t resort to bullying or harmful behaviors in classrooms and in homes. Our unique approach is to provide fun, engaging books and music for the children on all sides of these difficult situations, so everyone can have the tools to make smart decisions for our shared future.
Without a peaceful conflict resolution process that’s reinforced by adults, children have no way to work out their problems, except what they might learn on the streets and on the playground. Those methods haven’t served us well, if we just look at our world today.
We can’t produce these high quality materials without the financial help of many. We need your help in publishing the book and music that can bring these skills to children.

The I STOP for Peace campaign comes from Smart Tools for Life which is a project of the nonprofit Growing Communities for Peace (since 1982).
