HELP THE 100

So here is it. My goal is to try and change the lives of 100 people that are living on the streets of east Kent over the winter period by making up emergency back backs and handing them out in the coming months. I’ve already started taking donations of items and will be looking to accept anything that people think would help in this situation (socks, pants, thermals, sleeping bag, pillow, dog food, sanitary goods, trainers). I wasn’t going to start a fundraising page but have had lots of requests to do so and I’m finding backpacks are the most expensive and hardest thing to find. Please try and donate anything you can no matter how big or small, if you need information on drop off points for items please don’t hesitate to ask! 100 people sounds like a lot but I guaranty it’s nothing like the number of people that are actually homeless. The money raised on this page will mainly go towards the purchasing of 100 backpacks. Thanks to everyone from reading let’s give everyone the right to be warm and somewhat safe over the Christmas period.

Another post this morning about an ex British serviceman taking his own life. The lack of support given to these men after they leave the forces is disgusting. Da Costa's syndrome, irritable heart, shell shock, effort syndrome, medical evacuation syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder, and Gulf War syndrome. These post-war syndromes occur under conditions of substantial medical and scientific uncertainty. It’s estimated that we have just over 2500 people waking up homeless this morning in Kent alone and around half of them are ex serviceman! The target has been adjusted and I would still certainly be looking to exceed our new target as the backpacks alone are coming in at over 3000£ anything anyone can give will be a massive help add me on Facebook for more information and for local drop off points!
