Help in Recovery after Irma

Thank you for reading my little story, I am a father of 2 little dreamy kidos, along with my wife we have struggled through countless of obstacles moving from place to place in the search of peacefulness and tranquility. We nested in Florida, more specifically in Miami (Close to Coral Gables) were we had 2 beautiful boys little over 2 years of ago, we are continously learning from them as well as trying to keep up with the adventure of parenthood, building a home and forging their future.

Recently, disaster struck as hurricane Irma  struck close to home, our rented house almost collapsed during the relentless storm, the roof caved and we lost my working equipment (I work with my laptop) as well as a bed, toys from the kids. Before the storm was over, with much risk I managed to nail wood to stop the in-house flooding, we were not physically harmed, but the devastation inside our home crushed both my heart as well as my wife's.
In the aftermath we spent 6 days without electricity, now we are facing an impending eviction for next week as the landlord is not considering the storm or the damages the property had.




I already requested assistance from FEMA and we will be moving temporarily to an Inn , were we can stay for up to 30 days. After this, we are on our own, without a job (as I work solely online) I am scraping the bottom of my savings just to get by the day.

With the requested funding, We would pay for the deposit to a new place (north of Florida) as well as to recover a little of the things we lost during the disaster.

Neighbors have been angels in our distress, but we need more assistance in order to rise from these ashes.

For this, and for my children, I am not affraid to ask for help.
