We are 13-year old boys who created and run The Swish, an all-sports podcast and Instagram account.
We are both passionate about sports. We love to play, watch and discuss all sports. We began The Swish last Spring at the start of the pandemic as a way to keep ourselves busy with so much time at home as well as to raise money for Covid-19 relief from friends and family and others who were interested in listening to our podcast. We have raised over $10,000 to benefit the United Nations Foundation, Inc, (UN Foundation and UNF) COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO, but we want to do more!
It's hard to believe that almost a year later, life still isn't back to normal. We attend school through a hybrid model, in school 2-3 days a week and remote 2-3 days a week. Our basketball season has been canceled and our baseball season was much different then prior seasons. We are unable to attend games as fans to cheer on our favorite teams.
Both of our Bar Mitzvahs are now quickly approaching and it has become clear that we won't be able to celebrate in the way that we had imagined, but as a result, the importance and meaning of a becoming a Bar Mitzvah has been shifted into greater focus. As we begin to think about our Mitzvah projects, we knew that we could use our podcast platform to raise even more money for Covid-19 relief.
We are all affected by the growing COVID-19 pandemic. It's an unprecedented health challenge and the world has never faced a crisis like this before. The pandemic is impacting communities everywhere. It's never been more urgent to support the global response, led by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Donations support WHO's work to track and understand the spread of the virus; to ensure patients get the care they need and frontline workers get the essential supplies and information; to accelerate research of new treatments for all who need them; and to accelerate dissemination of the newly approved vaccine, a well as research and development of a vaccine for kids like us.

We want to go back to school full-time, back to playing with our friends and most of all, back to playing and watching the sports we love.
