On Friday, August 14th Bridget had a significant heart event causing emergency transport to Portneuf Medical Center for immediate heart surgery to save her life. She was diagnosed with Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD), an uncommon emergency condition that causes weakening and tearing in blood vessels of the heart. It can quickly lead to a heart attack or
sudden death without emergency intervention. Bridget's case was linked to post partum hormone levels.
Brandon and Bridget have four young children (ages 5, 3, 1, 6 months) and Bridget will not be able to pick up or hold her babies for quite some time. It is important that she heal in the safest way possible and these limitations will be challenging but necessary.
