Cindy Cameron Beat Cancer Fund

I'm raising money for my best friend Cindy Cameron who has been diagnosed with stage 4 rectal cancer at the young age of 41. Cindy is the loving mother of two exceptional boys, Travis, 17 and Sean, 14 and a loving and supportive girlfriend to her boyfriend Blaise.
Cindy is the most loyal and kindest person I know and I am honored to have her as my best friend. She is the kitchen supervisor /cook at a seniors retirement community in Calgary where she is respected and loved by all her coworkers and residents alike.
Cindy is the kind of person that will make your day better with every smile she gives and will never hesitate to go out of her way to help anyone in need.
In November 2015, Cindy underwent surgery to remove her ovaries as a result of what was thought to be Ovarian cancer. It was after the surgery that doctors realized that this was not Ovarian cancer and the initial cancer had actually started within the GI tract . It was then that she was diagnosed with stage 4 Rectal cancer.
Cindy has been in the hospital since January 4th 2016 and in that time has undergone another surgery to bypass yet another tumor that was obstructing her digestive system and resulting in her inability to eat or drink. Five weeks later, Cindy is able to proceed with the Chemotherapy in hopes of fighting the cancer.
Cindy is now facing the biggest challenge she has ever encountered and at such a young age. I watch my amazing and sweet friend face the enormous emotional stress associated with cancer and that financial concerns is creating unnecessary stress for her as well.
To know that her bills can be paid, the fridge will have food in it for her family, her children's school fees are paid for and there is money for the eventual and many medications that she will have to purchase will alleviate one of the many stresses that consumes her at a time when her health and fight for life must be her only priority.
Cindy needs all her strength to fight this cancer so she may watch her children grow and live the wonderful and long life she deserves. Taking the financial burden that comes with stage 4 cancer away from her will increase her chances of beating this disease. She is worth every penny and every happy moment that we can give her.
