Daniel’s Cancer Treatment

Donation protected
Daniel Collazo-Portalatin also known as Danielito, is 27 years old and currently lives in Vineland, NJ. Danielito’s hobbies were playing video games and dedicating his time to his car (Evo) besides working and taking care of his son. He enjoys spending time with his family & friends. On April 19, 2021, Danielito was first diagnosed with Astrocytoma 2. On May 27, 2021, he had his first operation for the removal of 3 tumors, and two days later, he started having seizures. Danielito received radiation in September or October when the bell rang that he was clear of cancer. Almost 2 years passed without having seizures but unfortunately in November 2023, he began having seizures once again. Shortly after he started losing mobility in his left hand and leg, he was told by his physical therapist to go to the emergency because something wasn’t right. Cooper University Hospital performed an MRI and that’s when we were told that the tumor had come back and its aggressive, also fluid was found in his brain. Due to the fluid in his brain, it wasn’t flowing correctly which affected his mobility to talk and swollen correctly. They quickly did a procedure to drain the fluid from his brain so that they would be able to start chemo but it was not successful due to the cancer being so aggressive. This form of cancer doesn’t have a stage but it’s in a grade of 3 or 4 and it’s growing rapidly. The hospital that’s currently treating him is not giving us any hope that he would come out of this. After the family meeting the doctors decided to stop treatment and send him home to hospice so he could have a better life close to his family while he’s still alive, but we know there’s a GOD that can make miracles happen and he will be an inspiration to others in the same situation. We have looked for other treatments when we take him home on hospice that would cost us a lot of money due to the insurance company he has not being able to pay for these types of services. We have hope that he will recover and he also wants to fight for his life not only for himself but for his son and his family. Your contribution no matter how small will help with comfort, hope, and support for Daniel and his family. Thank You so much!
