Hello everyone,

My name is Carmen Arroyo, and asking for help is something I never imagined I would have to do. I have always been someone who works hard, keeps going, and tries to handle things on my own. I have spent my life caring for others, especially my family, and I never like to ask for anything in return. But right now, I truly need help.

I am a mother, and one of my greatest responsibilities and blessings is supporting my autistic daughter. Every day, I do my best to be strong for her, to guide her, protect her, and make sure she has what she needs. She depends on me, and that is why what I am facing now is so frightening.

I have been diagnosed with a severe cataract, and it has progressed to the point where I am losing my vision. Simple things like seeing clearly, moving around safely, or even feeling confident throughout the day have become difficult. The fear of not being able to seeof not being able to care for my daughter the way she deserves has been overwhelming.

Along with this, I live with diabetes and high cholesterol, which already make daily life challenging. My doctors have told me that eye surgery is necessary to stop my vision from getting worse and to give me the chance to see clearly again. Unfortunately, the cost of this surgery is more than I can afford.

I have always worked hard and tried my best to get through life without asking for help. But right now, I am at a point where I cannot do this alone. I am scared, but I am also hopeful hopeful that kindness, can help me through this difficult time.
