HELP MY FAMILY SURVIVE IN GAZA

Emergency appeal to raise money for food and essential supplies.

Hello, I’m Malak and I’m organising this campaign to save my family’s lives. I’m 28 years old and was born and raised in Gaza. I lived in Gaza until 2 years ago, when I left, leaving my parents and sisters behind.

I have 6 sisters. The youngest two are twins (17) and the eldest is 30. Three of my sisters have children, 4 of them toddlers.

My family home in Gaza ,which my father purchased using money he had saved from working his entire life, has been destroyed and flattened and my family are now all living in a tent in the al-mawaasi area, after being displaced 4 times. The conditions that my parents, siblings and their children are living in are unimaginable.

They have no access to clean or running water and no toilet facilities. Food is extremely scarce, and many days, they do not eat anything at all. When they do access food, it comes in the form of a small amount of flour, which is shared between them. They are all malnourished and suffering from a range of illnesses caused by the lack of food and water.

My mother suffers from heart disease, diabetes and high blood pressure and has no access to essential medication. The lack of food has caused her severe hypoglycaemia, resulting in hypoglycaemic comas, putting her life in danger.

My father suffers with impaired kidney function (which has resulted in gout), and is suffering from kidney stones that need to be surgically removed, but has no access to medical facilities. With no access to clean water, he is living with insufferable pain. He has lost 25 kilograms from starvation and is barely able to walk.

My nieces and nephews are all small children, the eldest being 11 and the youngest just a few months old.

Reema and Alma were just 6 months old when this onslaught started. They have never known a normal meal.

Yusra and Alya are facing death from malnutrition, with no food and their mothers unable to produce milk due to also suffering from malnutrition.

I am making an emergency appeal to your kindness, and asking that you donate any money you are able to, to facilitate the purchase of emergency supplies. Due to the extreme scarcity of food, the price of even a small amount of flour of grain is inconceivable.

We are still able to get money to my family in Gaza. Any money sent will be used to purchase food and essential items required for their survival. I spend every day terrified for my family, as their condition deteriorates and they become thinner and weaker. I am desperately trying to raise money through several means to send to my family in the hope that they can stay alive long enough to outlive this genocidal onslaught.
