Rebuild Catering Kitchen & Feed the Community

Salaams Family & Friends,

Allah says in the Quran, "Verily, with every hardship comes ease."

My name is Maryam, and I am starting this fundraiser to help my uncle. This man would never ever ask anyone for anything, but instead, he will give himself and help in every way he can.

You may know about a farm that I visit quite often and take pictures with goats. I have been so lucky to have been surrounded by these farm animals for years. The goats, the turkey, the peacocks, the birds, all have helped me through some of my painful times.

Just on the 6th day of Ramadan while fasting, in the middle of a catering order, my uncle's kitchen went up in flames. Not only did EVERYTHING (thousands of dollars worth of food, spices, appliances (freezers, fridges, stoves) and pots/pans) get burned, but the fire also took lives of a few precious animals right around the kitchen. I went to visit my uncle the following day, and I held in my tears. I have never been to a site after a fire, and this shattered my soul. I have been visiting this farm for years, my heart is at this farm. This uncle may not be my biological chacha (dad's brother), but he for sure is my uncle. Losing those animals has broken my heart, and I can't even imagine the grief that he is feeling himself.

My husband and I want to gift this farm money to help with the cleaning, rebuilding, and restarting after this traumatic tragedy. I pray that during this month of Ramadan, I am able to raise this money to gift this special farm, inshaAllah (God-willing). I know that this community will come together.

All the money will be used to clean the aftermath of the fire and rebuild the kitchen, so my uncle can start cooking food for the community again! InshaAllah.
