Help for Linda Jill

Hello. My name is Jackie and I am the daughter of Linda Jill.

I am writing today as I am setting up an account for my Mom to assist her with her devastating property loss and serious injuries as a result. This occurred only 90 days after she moved to Florida and she had just gotten new furniture and appliances, etc. and was making her new home her own.

Thank you in advance, as many have asked how they can help my Mom to get through this seemingly unending, unresolved tragedy. This situation has taken it's toll emotionally, physically and financially with no end in sight.

For those who know my Mom personally, know that she has been a nurturer and caregiver to to humans and fur babies alike, an ER nurse and EMT for almost 40 years. She is so well respected and well known in the community, always giving of herself in time of need. She has never asked for help in any way and this is so hard for her to do. Pride sometimes gets in the way of asking for help. But the time has come to ask for any help if you can possibly can do so.

Mom needs your kind support and I will very briefly explain why, as it has now turned into an even more urgent situation.

There was a water main that was 6 feet down that was most likely be leaking four weeks if not months eventually the pressure became too much and it exploded above and underground.

After the explosion scene was secured by fire and rescue on 7/31/22, area was taped and coned off, never again was my Mom able to use her driveway or yard. Corporate took full responsibility for the incident and massive repairs which were not completed to property or Mom's home. Mom's elderly neighbor has severe damage as well and they do emotionally support each other and have become close friends.

There are several 911 tapes on file from incident, as Mom had to evacuate at the time due to water and washout/sinkholes. Mom has bravely remained in her home and continued to pay her mortgage, hoping for quick and full compensation in a reasonable time frame. This did not happen.

The attorney hired to represent my Mom turned out to be totally negligent and incompetent and after 9 months of lying and deception, admitted he did not file her case for damage and for total loss of property and injuries, causing a most devastating downward spiral. Homeowners Insurance and Flood Insurance denied claim after many months because it is on leased land in a private gated community and residents own the homes. Insurance co. was told that surveys could not be completed therefore the denial. This all after many months of engineers and heavy construction being improperly done and no permits, causing even more damage. Mom's case is very well known in her county and she is still residing in the home but has removed all of her belongings except for personal items. Therefore, the out of pocket for new attorneys, movers and 4 storage units, eating out, laundromat, etc. She is losing her home as a result of this incompetence and fraud, so will also need to move and find safe housing very soon. She has hired a second attorney but will need additional legal assistance asap.

Mom has reported the insurance company, and attorney for fraud and is praying someone will fight for her now, as she has done for others her entire life. Thank you for your kindness in this time of need, regards Jackie
