Yellow Heart Committee
Yellow Heart Committee is an organization mobilizing to support the holistic mental health of trauma survivors through policy advocacy, education, and community outreach. We are actively working towards a world where the barriers between people and policy are broken, and survivors of trauma have access to spaces for holistic healing and comprehensive education.
We are currently collecting funds to assist with the fees associated with becoming an official 503(c)(3) non-profit organization.
In the short time that we have been active, we have:
- Hosted a sexual assault and domestic violence town hall featuring elected officials and community leaders
- Partnered with Columbia University to host a healing event for students
- Proposed a bill to California legislature to create a sexual assault and domestic violence task force
Once we secure our 503(c)(3) status, we will be able to apply for grants and impact lives on a larger scale.
