★ I'm Anselm aka DantonSlip, a comic book author, and I'm working on, among other things, "It's (Not) A Girl!", a comic about transgender identity (which you can read for free on Tapas and Webtoon if you're interested).

★ What's the connection with the crowdfunding campaign?

Well, that's exactly it - I explain in the comic the difficulty of accessing surgery. Today, I finally have a date (November, 8th. Hooray!) but the coverage is minimal. I also won't be able to work during my recovery, and as a professional artist-author, I obviously don't have any sick leave, so no work means no income.

★ That's why I'm turning to you in part. To give you the details of the out-of-pocket costs for the operation:

☆ Surgery: €3,800

☆ Compression garment: €90

☆ Travel to Paris: ~€200

We're looking at around €4,090 just for the intervention (because all around, there are other expenses, appointments not covered for the anesthesiologist, post-op care, the fact that I still have to pay my bills without being able to work since I'll be immobilized, etc. which almost double the total bill ^^').

Don't contribute if it would put you in a difficult situation. If you want to help, you can also share the crowdfunding campaign and give it some visibility!

★ Le rapport avec la cagnotte ?

Bah justement, j'y explique la difficulté que ça peut être d'avoir accès à une chirurgie. Aujourd'hui, j'ai enfin une date (Le 8 Novembre, Hourra !) mais la prise en charge est minime. Je ne vais pas non plus pouvoir travailler le temps de ma récupération et comme je suis artiste-auteur professionnel je n'ai bien évidemment aucun congé maladie.

★ C'est pour ça que je m'en remets partiellement à vous. Pour vous détailler les coûts pour l'opération que je dois sortir :

☆ Opération : 3800€

☆ Boléro de contention : 90€

☆ Trajet pour aller sur Paris : ~200€

On est à environ 4090€ juste ce qui concerne l'intervention en elle-même (parce que tout autour, il y a d'autres frais, les rendez-vous non pris en charge pour 'l'anesthésiste, les soins post-op, le fait que j'dois quand même continuer à payer mes factures sans pouvoir travailler puisque je serais immobilisé, etc. ce qui double presse la note).

★ Ne participez pas si ça peut vous mettre dans l'embarras. Si vous voulez aider, vous pouvez aussi partager la cagnotte et lui donner plus de visibilité !
