Help Yangzi Liu Achieve her Olympic Dream

Yangzi Liu, Australia’s #1 female table tennis player, was forced to watch the 2024 Paris Olympics from home because of an International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) administrative rule that stops athletes representing their adoptive country at the Olympic Games for up to 9 years.

Yangzi has been an Australian citizen since March 2020 and has represented Australia many times at international tournaments.

But without your help to cover her legal fees to challenge this ruling at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), Yangzi could also miss the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Yangzi’s case will be heard by CAS in November and Table Tennis Australia is aiming to raise $32,000 to cover Yangzi’s legal expenses.

Every dollar raised here will go directly towards paying Yangzi’s legal costs.

Yangzi, who is ranked 35 in the world but earlier this year was ranked as high as 21, could be a genuine contender in Los Angeles.
