E-Heights Fundraiser for Punjabi Youth

This year, Columbia Bhangra's annual showcase, E-Heights, will be a fundraiser for the Sikh Human Development Foundation (SHDF). SHDF aims to provide scholarships to students in need in Punjab and neighboring areas to make higher professional education affordable. The Foundation has provided more than seven thousand scholarships to orphans, children of widows and of terminally sick parents, farmers who committed suicide, and other economically disadvantaged families. Any donation will make an impact, and all proceeds will help provide scholarships to recipients from rural areas in Punjab who are living in extreme poverty. 

While we are a bhangra dance team in the US, our music and dance originates from Punjabi agricultural communities and practices in India.
