Please help this local mom

On Tuesday August 9, Michael Hope, a young husband and father, of Sooke BC, passed away unexpectedly at his home, leaving behind his wife Tessa and their two young children Mya (11) and Calvin (9). The shock of Michael's death to Tessa and their children has been devastating as they try to come to grips from this nightmare.

Tessa and her children are part of a wonderful community that would like to alleviate some of the financial stress as they transition into a new life without their husband and father.

Although being a dual income family, the loss of Michael’s salary will be a hard blow for his widow and children. Michael worked as a UPS driver and worked 12-hour days to support his family as best he could. With the cost of fuel and groceries it's a never-ending struggle to make ends meet for all of us these days, and it will be even more so for Tessa and her kids now that Michael is gone.

In a perfect world we would all like to see Tessa be able to take time to grieve, however, her financial situation does not allow for that.
