The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States. NSBE, founded in 1975, supports and promotes the aspirations of collegiate and pre-collegiate students and technical professionals in engineering and technology. We created this GoFundMe to collect donations that will help our Temple NSBE chapter with transportation, lodging, rental, and food costs as we head to the 50th NSBE Annual Convention in Atlanta, Georgia. The convention will be on March 20th-24th, 2024 where members will be able to network and land possible internships and future employment offers. Due to COVID-19, we lost a lot of our sponsors and funding and are trying to get our funds back to what they once were. Registration rates have increased to about $300 per person this year and we would hate to stop members from attending because we don’t have the funds. We are in the process of looking for alumni, companies, and more to help Temple NSBE financially. As one of the largest colleges in Philadelphia, we want to build Temple's Chapter even more and allow members to experience all of what NSBE has to offer, whether it be life-changing job opportunities or simply a community for STEM students to create long-lasting friendships. This starts with finances and we would love to maximize attendees at the convention this year. If you would like to donate or know companies or anyone who would, please share this with them as well. We greatly appreciate any contributions you can make to our trip. Thank you!
