MRSA Treatment for Nikki Bella

My name is Victoria Stein.  I am a resident of Palm Beach County.  I'm a paraplegic and I take care of my mother who is undergoing cancer treatment.  A lot has changed financially this year and it has all happened at once.  This most recent tragedy has sent me into a desperate spin because it's affecting my fur-baby, my 10 year old female basset hound, Nikki Bella!  She has been diagnosed with a MRSA infection.  The treatment she needs is expensive and I just can't help her on my own.  The treatment she needs is an injectable medication, daily for three,maybe four weeks.  My vet happens to be the best and most affordable in this county and his reputation is unmatched.  I only have good to say about Palms West Veternary Clinic, they are superbly knowledgeable and compassionate.  Currently Nikki is on a pill antibiotic and a pain/inflamation reducer and is responding to it pretty well.  The vet made sure to express though that she has very little time before it could be a full blown raging infection again and the sooner she starts the treatments the better chance she has.  Today was my first day with this MRSA diagnosis and I am scared.  I am cleaning and disinfecting all her rest areas, I'm touching her only with gloves on and I've seperated her from her little buddy Toupie, my 14 year old dappled dachshund.  This infection puts all of us at risk and my mom has a compromised immune system from her medical condition so I won't even let her go near the dogs right now.  I am asking with the most humble of hearts for any help you can offer, my Nikki has been through so much with me and always does her doggy duty to soothe and make me happy, I have to try all I can for her!  She walks around right now oblivious to anything being wrong, but we all know that without treatment MRSA is a death sentence and I know she has more years left in her to be my princess Nikki Bella!  Please help if you can,hug your puppy and say a prayer for us!
