The family is currently battling with insurance. They are denying pay-out on the property and personal coverage, claiming the damage was caused by a third party and not considered an act of god.

Due to that, I have increased the goal to 25k. In addition to the increase, I will also be personally matching the goal.

It is with heavy hearts that we remember Wyatt Owens, a shining light in our community who brought joy and positivity to everyone around him.

On Sunday January 15th, Wyatt was the victim of a tragic drive by shooting. Though he is no longer with us physically, his spirit lives on in the memories and love that he shared with all of us, as well as the wonderful gift he was able to bestow upon 8 people who were able to receive his organs.

Wyatt leaves behind two sisters, a father and mother, who are trying to come to terms with this loss. We want to support them in this difficult time, so we are raising funds to help them cover expenses associated with funeral, medical and any other associated costs.

We know that Wyatt would want us to come together as a community to support each other. Any amount that you can donate will be greatly appreciated, and will be a small way to honor his memory.
