World’s first pizza dirt bike
What is the idea?
Some of you know me already and some of you are not familiar with me. For the ones that don’t know me; I want to take pizza to the next level. I’m walking around for years with the idea of turning a dirt bike into a pizza pepperoni. The most important aspect is that the bike should be able to ride properly. I’m working on my solo exhibition that consists of 5 bigger sculptures. Until now I’ve made my first sculpture and that is the basketball installation. The photo is attached below.
Why?
You’re maybe wondering why I’m starting a crowdfunding. That’s a fair question! Well, I’ve already spent €140.000 in the past 8 months on my dream company that I’m building with my own hands (otherwise it would cost twice as much). So basically I’m broke. At the same time I'm also working full time in our family pizzeria to fund everything.
How can you help me?
I would like to work on my art and share it with the world! With your help I can make this project possible and of course it would be great if you could help me with it. I would like to do something back! It’s not like, support my project and that’s it.
First of all, I’m going to laser engrave all the names of the backers into a nice piece of metal (brass, stainless steel) and incorporate it visibly on the dirt bike. After the exhibition the dirt bike will be used to do pop-up events in different cities. Think about clothing stores, art spaces, libraries and maybe even a museum (in The Netherlands). The visitors of the pop-up events will not only see our clothing, but they also will be provided with the information on how the dirt bike was made and who the individuals were that made it possible.
If you think that’s cool and you’d like to be a part of it, I would freaking appreciate your support! I already found a cheap dirt bike from 2004 through a friend of mine for €1500. This was after searching the internet for quite a bit and figuring out that the average price for a bike (250-450 cc) was around €2500-€3000.
I need around 100 kilos of resin which costs €1200. So the total of the project will amount to €2700.
I’ll take care of the €200 by working and selling some things. So let’s say we need €2500 here.
It would be amazing if you could help me to succeed with this project and of course I will share the whole journey on my www.instagram.com/flourb0y AND I will do weekly video updates here.
