Hello friends…
Andy Lutze (Gold Chisel front man) needs your help!
…. Andy has been a very dear friend of mine for a long time, and I knew something was
going on in his life that was not good, so I reached out to him and got him to open up to
me.
He definitely needs help and I suggested he reaches out to people and perhaps sets up a
Go-Fund-Me page, but Andy being Andy, wouldn’t have a bar of it.
…. So let me tell you what’s been going on…. Every week he gets on stage and puts on a
show pretending like his life is normal and everything is good, but the reality is, it’s not.
Andy was diagnosed with an advanced form of cancer earlier this year. This is
information that he has only shared with a select few people as he suffers in silence.
He has four large tumors in his prostate, and unfortunately the cancer was detected
when it was already at advanced Stage 3, the cancer has already moved outside of
the prostate and into his bones.
I know Andy has been struggling with the medical costs he has endured so far as he has
no private health insurance. The treatment he has been on since February has had
debilitating side effects, and there are days where he struggles to get up and even
struggles to walk. Starting in August, Andy’s treatment will intensify as he enters into his
third round of Androgen Deprivation Therapy (ADT) and will start to undergo ‘daily’
radiation treatment for almost 2 months.
This has forced him to stop working his day job as a Video Editor and Cameraman as he
needed to go to hospital “everyday”. He’s also had to cut back on his gigs For the Gold Chisel Tribute Show, for the coming
months as a result, and then there are all the associated medical expenses.
And if the treatment fails to be successful, he will have no alternative but to sell his
family home by the end of the year…
So friends, I have taken it upon myself to set up this Go-Fund-Me page in order to try
and help Andy with this life changing battle he is facing. I have set the limit for the Go Fund me
being at $25k. I know his income loss and medical expenses will far exceed this amount,
but if you can help in anyway, please click the link and make a donation.
No amount is too large or too small. Every bit will help.
"Together we are strong"
With much thanks,
KGB
