Help Pueblo Chieftain workers being laid off

Gannett announced on June 13 that it is shutting down the printing press at the Pueblo Chieftain and laying off 51 people.

Most of the people losing their jobs are not represented by the Pueblo News Guild and are not receiving adequate severance packages. The printing press is going to be shut down in mid-August and these workers will be left without a stable source of income. Some of the people being laid off have been working at the Chieftain for decades.

Every dollar that you contribute will go to these employees and their families. Please contribute what you can so that the affected workers will have some extra cash for gas, groceries and whatever they need during a very difficult time.
