Hello, I am Julia. I am organising this fundraiser for my friend who runs an animal shelter in Turkey. This is her message:

The Stray Cat Sanctuary is a dream come true for me. A dream dating back years and years. One that finally became a reality in the spring of 2024.

I'm a British-Turkish animal lover who moved to Istanbul in 2012 with my two adopted cats, Kito-san and Maggie. It wasn't long before I rescued and adopted my third cat, Marley. Since 2012, I have rescued countless cats and nursed them back to health. Some I sadly lost along the way.

The Stray Cat Sanctuary is home to over 60 rescue cats, most of whom have chronic illnesses and/or disabilities. I am also the proud mum to Princess, my rescue dog.

The Stray Cat Sanctuary is a safe and peaceful place located in the beautiful wilderness of Mugla, Turkey.

I run the sanctuary by myself and it is a 24-hour job. I am in desperate need of cat and dog food and donations to cover medical costs.
