Rosie's Women Owned Small Business Robbery
Donazione protetta
Hello,
My mother Rosa has worked as an independent nail artist for 20+ years. In October 2022 Rosa and my sister, Diana found a space near their home in Bogota, Colombia, to open their own salon business they would call Rosie's Beauty Studio. This was a lifelong dream of my mothers and something she put her love and passion into. Diana and Rosa worked throughout October to design, furnish, hire employees, market, and renovate the space to create a beautiful salon.
Rosie's Beauty Studio had its grand opening in November 2022. Rosie's has only been open for one month and a half however in the single month it was open it gained many clients and was already proving itself as a successful women-owned small business.
On the night of December 16th, 2022 Rosie's was burglarized. Someone entered Rosie's by breaking through a skylight window on the ceiling. They trashed the salon and took the chandelier, custom "hello gorgeous" lamp, $2,000 cash, nail polish, filers, and other nail tools. The chair seen on the table was used to exit out the skylight. We are fundraising for a new chandelier, the stolen cash, to equip Rosie's with a security system, as well as the removal of the skylight.
The happiness Rosie's brought to my family as well as the staff and clients will not be taken by a heartless burglar. We appreciate your support and can't wait to reopen Rosie's stronger than before!
