Hello. My name is John L. McFadden IV. I am a Combat Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a dedicated Father, and Fiance to the most beautiful woman and best Mother in the world, Jessica Dawn Taylor. I am starting this Go-Fundme account in hopes of reaching as many compassionate people as possible to help our family as Jessica battles metastatic cancer directly after miscarrying our second son, Liam Connor McFadden, at 15 weeks on April 30th, 2024. She didn't even have time to begin healing either emotionally or physically before she was given this devastating diagnosis. Needless to say, we are all in complete shock, and scared to death. Even our 8 year old son, John L. McFadden V, is petrified. He didn't even have time to get over losing his little brother, and now he terrified to learn that he might lose his mother. I am trying to keep his life as normal as possible, but it is getting harder and harder every day.

We were already struggling after the pandemic due to shut downs, loss of employment, and insane inflation. I had bought a run down mobile home in 2018 in hopes of having it completely reconstructed and sold in 2 years so I could use the money to make Jessicas dreams come true. To be married with kids, and living in a nice house on a peaceful homestead. Well, thanks to the pandemic, and health issues of my own, that 2 years turned into 6 years, and I have ended up with my fiance, her mother, my son, and I all living in one room of a partially reconstructed home. I recently landed a great job, and even started my own business. I was back on track again to finally make our dreams come true, and now this. With mounting medical and monthly bills, combined with the loss of Jessica's income and my time off to be with her, again, our dreams seem to be crushed. Will not have the money to finish the mobile home, and may even end up losing it altogether. Not only would Jessica not ever see those dreams come true, but we could all end up homeless and bankrupt as we all cope with what has already happened, and the struggles ahead.

UPDATE 09/10/2025: Jessica has been fighting this evil disease for over 2 years now. The cancer has progressed to end stage. My beautiful Momma has gone from 230lbs, down to 100lbs. We have a last chance hope, but We are now at a loss with Insurance. The Nursing home has informed us that Jessica's insurance does not cover her stay there, and her SSI drops to $30.00/MONTH!!! We have nowhere close enough to send her so she she can continue to fight! We need the money to not only cover her stay at the nursing home, but to either finish the rebuild of our mobile home, or buy a nice RV for her to stay in. Please!! She deserves a nice place to stay as she battles the end stages of this horrible disease. We will accept ANYTHING that can help us out. Not just money. I cannot express how dire this situation is for our entire family. I have maxed out $6000.00 worth of Credit Cards trying to keep up with all the monthly expenses plus paying $400.00/month for Jessica's supplements and prescriptions not covered by insurance. It's like the medical system has made all the money they want to off of her, and now they just want to brush her aside as she passes away. Please, we need some kind of help to save my wife, and the Mother of our 9yr old son.
