Help us make our cross-country move to Madison, WI
Donation protected
Our family will be relocating to Madison, WI from Stamford, CT in May 2024 & if ever we had a moment of needing our village, it is now.
We are moving to Madison to be close to family & friends, to lower our cost of living & improve our quality of life.
In our first 1.5 years as parents we have been primarily on our own & we realized how much this season of our lives requires community. Being business owners while doing every aspect of life ourselves has been not only exhausting but also not financially viable.
Jamie has worked tremendously hard creating & serving his clients while being a devoted father, AND with the loss of most of Melissa’s income now that she is Selah’s primary caregiver, it has been incredibly challenging to stay afloat while having a schedule that allows both of us to also work as much as possible.
In preparation for the move, Jamie is successfully shifting his fitness training business to working with clients online & is continuing to accept new clients for virtual training. With a lowered cost of living, his income will absolutely be sustainable moving forward (along with Melissa’s increased capacity to work due to the support of family & friends becoming a part of Selah’s care).
This is why we need your help at this time. The honest truth is that we’ve had to put rent on credit cards more times than we’d like to admit in this past year. We are maxed out, & we need a bridge to get us to our new, more sustainable life. Just getting by month-to-month has left nothing to set aside for a cross country move. We can no longer afford to maintain our current cost of living & our lease is up in May, which is why we will be moving then.
Any funds raised will go directly toward moving costs—a moving truck, travel expenses, security deposit & first month’s rent in our new home & any additional funds will go toward any furniture or supplies we need to get settled in our new home.
This is a time of great surrender for us & (quite vulnerably) expanding our capacity to receive. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for helping us move into our next season of thriving.
