Williamston City Court Basketball Hoop Replacement
Volunteer Park in downtown Williamston is a cherished park by many. Many kids and young adults use the Trent Allen Courts, commonly known by many as the "green courts", to spend many week nights and weekends playing basketball and having fun. On 6/15 one of the hoops shattered after a player dunked during a game. I know you may say that dunking should not take place, and I agree with you, but I want the kids to be given the opportunity to give back and fix the backboards by way of donation to the City of Williamston. There is another hoop that has been bent and shortened due to wear and tear. We are hoping to raise enough money to also replace that rim also. I hope this Gofund me reaches ALL that play here and many that know what basketball can give to the community. I also hope the PLAYERS choose to do the right thing and donate to fixing the courts making this a place where all can continue to meet and play a game of pick up ball.
