Whitaker Family House Fire

Let me start by saying I did not want to post this, since it is a private matter, but the word has gotten out there. We have received phone calls from a few concerned friends and family, and I just wanted to let everyone know...My parents had a house fire two weeks ago and lost everything. My dad was taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation after saving the family dogs. They kept him overnight, but he has since been released. Lucas and I were also visiting during that time. Everyone (my mom, dad, brother, Lucas and I), including all 4 pups, survived the fire. Thank God! However, in addition to being very underinsured for this situation and some things being impossible to ever replace, Heather and I have felt compelled to do something. Thank you for everyone’s kind words, thoughts and prayers we have received, it’s been wonderful hearing from you all.
